Hunting

Shadowlawn Land Management oversees approximately 28,000 contiguous acres. Hunting leases on the property are divided among various hunt clubs. Successful hunting at Shadowlawn Farms involves more than bringing home a trophy deer. Hunting and good fellowship are inseparable and Shadowlawn Farms’ hunters are encouraged to mentor younger generations. Shadowlawn Farms expects hunters to abide by the rules of “fair chase” as well as obey all game laws. Hunting can be a great activity to teach patience, perseverance and humility, not to mention the added bonus of enjoying the outdoors and wildlife in their natural habitats. In addition to a healthy deer herd, other wildlife present on the property include ducks, geese, woodpeckers, robins, coyotes, squirrels, turkeys, bobcats, snakes, and much more.
